A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee…You will never look
at a cup of coffee the same way again!
>
A young woman went to her mother and told her about her
life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know
how she was going to make it and wanted to give up, She was
tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem
was solved, a new one arose.
Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots
with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots
came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second
she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee
beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.
In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She
fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled
the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the
coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter,
she asked, ’ Tell me what you see.’
’Carrots, eggs, and coffee,’ she replied.
Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the
carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother
then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After
pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg
Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee.
The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The
daughter then asked, ‘What does it mean, mother?’
Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced
the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently.
The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However,
after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and
became weak The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell
had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through
the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground
coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the
boiling water, they had changed the water.
’Which are you?’ she asked her daughter. ‘When
adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a
carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems
strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become
soft and lose my strength?
Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but
changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after
a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other
trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look
the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a
stiff spirit and hardened heart?
Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the
hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When
the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If
you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you
get better and change the situation around you. When the
hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest do you
elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle
adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough
trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human
and enough hope to make you happy.
The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best
of everything; they just make the most of everything that
comes a long their way. The brightest future will always be
based on a forgotten past; you can’t go forward in life
until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you
was smiling.
Live your life so at the end, you’re the one who is
smiling and everyone around you is crying. You might want to
send this message to those people who mean something to you
(I JUST DID); to those who have touched your life in one way
or another; to those who make you smile when you really need
it; to those who make you see the brighter side of things
when you are really down; to those whose friendships you
appreciate; to those who are so meaningful in your life.
If you don’t send it, you will just miss out on the
opportunity to brighten someone’s day with this message!
May we all be COFFEE!!!!!

Imagine yourself as an old styled steam train. As a train, you are not just a decoration but you are made for a purpose. You cannot go anywhere unless you boil the water and produces steam that powers you. And you are nothing without the following things that keeps you working:
COALS
By boiling the water, you have to have a fire which is supported by coals. The coals in our life are His words. It is hard to sustain the life of the fire if it will just burn itself. Devoting ourselves and finding a quiet time to meditate His words will fuel us up and make our fire bigger.
“I am laid low in the dust;
preserve my life according to your word.” - Psalm 119:25
STOKERS
The people who put the coals on the fire, or what they call “stokers” are the people God entrusted your life to. In my case, I have my cell leader, my pastors, co-ministries, and my Christian friends who continue to support me and help me keep my fire. I cannot stand on my own and God knows that. That is why I am blessed that He gave me those people for free.
“And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of me, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.” - 1 Thessalonians 2:13
PASSENGERS
There are also people who ride the train and those are the people I meet along my way whom I have to help reach their destinations. He has entrusted them to me, like my cell members, will-be cell members under me, my treasured friends and my family, that along their way, I have to keep them safe and let them know that as long as there is the fire, the train will keep on moving. We will reach our final station which is the kingdom of God, our Father and Lord.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you and watch over you” - Psalm 32:8
RAILS
It directs the train where it should go and the rail in our life is Jesus Christ.
“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” - John 14:6
He will guide us even in our darkest paths, whatever our speed may be, or the materials we are constructed of, or the weather we have to deal with. If we remain in Him, we will be certain in our place we will go.
FIRE
The fire per se is our faith in God. He gave us the life to move. That no matter how far is the place we have to go or how heavy our burden is, if we had the fire, we can still operate and go on with our life.
“We live by faith, not by sight” - 2 Corinthians 5:7
WATER
The water is our life which was lent to us. Fire should be applied in the water for the whole thing to work. Time would come that all of the water inside the train would evaporate. So you have to use your life wisely as if it is the last drop. Live according to the will of God.
“Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” - Ephesians 5:15-17
STEAM
Finally, the steam is your work. There will have no steam if you have no life that burns with faith, and the faith that is sustained by God’s words. The train will not move if there is no steam. Similarly, you will not reach your destination if you do not work.
“Don’t sit there watchig the wind. Do your own work. Don’t stare at the clouds. Get on with your life.” - Ecclesiastes 11:4 (MSG)
Keeping these things will make you a productive, purposeful, and a better train. It will be hard to move the train just by your own strength because you will eventually get tired and quit easily without getting to where God wanted you to be. Let Him consume your life for God is a consuming fire [Hebrews 12:29] He is the only one who can give you the true LIFE.

g1: ate, ayokong mag grade 5!!
g2: bakit naman?
g1: kasi pag grade 5 ka na, kailangan matalino ka na. may divide divide na!
(my little sister complaining while i am teaching her multiplication)

*Media confirms that there is no survivor named Bang Lu Min. This account is fiction.
Mr. Mendoza was already upset even before he saw on television what the policemen did to his brother. The other tourists who remained inside the bus were complaining. Wei Ji Jiang wanted to go to the bathroom….
just a fiction?
G: *points her little sister a picture of a girl* “Maganda ba o pangit?”
Little sis: “Ewan ko”
G: “Bakit ewan? Hindi pwede yun.”
Little sis: “Hmm..maganda at pangit”
G: “Bakit pareho?”
Little sis: “Eh kasi yung suot nya maganda, yung mukha nya ang pangit.”
Kids don’t lie. XD
